Patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) treated with enzalutamide reported more fatigue, depression and deterioration in perceived cognitive ability, and slower reaction time than those receiving abiraterone acetate, according to results of the ACE study.

Higher abdominal fat, particularly around the pancreas, appears to contribute to lower cognition and brain volumes among middle-aged men at high risk of Alzheimer’s dementia, reports a study. This suggests a possible sex-specific link between distinct abdominal fat and brain health.

A 20-year nested case–control study in China has shown sequential and temporal changes in biomarkers 6–18 years before diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
