Milk, yoghurt, cheese help boost calcium levels without messing up lipid levels

In older adults, correction of insufficiency in intakes of calcium and protein by consuming milk, yoghurt, and cheese does not appear to have any harmful effects on lipid profile, according to a study.

ผู้ป่วยชายอายุ 44 ปี มีอาการเจ็บหน้าอกขณะพักเป็นเวลา 90 นาที ซึ่งเกิดขณะหลับและไม่เคยมีอาการเช่นนี้มาก่อน อาการเจ็บมีลักษณะปวดตื้อ ๆ ลึก ๆ (dull aching) และปวดลามไปถึงขากรรไกรด้านซ้าย อาการไม่ทุเลาลงเมื่อนั่งพัก ไม่มีอาการผิดปกติอื่น ๆ  ไม่มีโรคประจำตัว ไม่มียาที่ใช้ประจำ ได้รับการวินิจฉัยเป็น acute STEMI ที่ anteroseptal wall ผลการประเมินปัจจัยเสี่ยงเพิ่มเติมพบว่า ผู้ป่วยมี BMI 33.9 kg/m², HbA_1c 14.3%, LDL-C 211 mg/dL แพทย์พิจารณาเริ่มให้ยา high intensity statin ร่วมกับ ezetimibe และยากลุ่ม PCSK9 inhibitors เพื่อให้สามารถลดระดับ LDL-C ของผู้ป่วยรายนี้ให้ได้ตามเป้าหมาย คือ ต่ำกว่า 55 mg/dL หรือคิดเป็น 73% จาก baseline ซึ่งการใช้ยาร่วมกันสามชนิดมีอัตราความสำเร็จในการลดระดับไขมันได้ถึง 85% โดยประมาณ
