Trong bài báo cáo tại EHA 2024, bác sĩ Waleed Ghanima, Viện Y học Lâm sàng, Đại học Oslo, Na Uy, cho biết: “[Trong nghiên cứu của chúng tôi], so với warfarin, apixaban có ít nguy cơ hơn về xuất huyết chung và xuất huyết ở tất cả các vị trí; rivaroxaban có ít nguy cơ hơn về xuất huyết tổng thể và các loại xuất huyết khác nhưng nguy cơ xuất huyết tiêu hóa (XHTH) và xuất huyết nội sọ (XHNS) thì tương tự warfarin”.
