Other conditions that should be ruled out in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis include:
- Fungal infection (eg histoplasmosis, aspergillosis)
- Lung abscess
- Lymphoma
- Non-small cell and small cell carcinoma
- Pneumonia
- Sarcoidosis
