A study presented at IDWeek 2025 demonstrates substantial medication cost savings, shorter hospital stays, reduced treatment duration, and lower rates of progression to severe disease when nirmatrelvir-ritonavir (NMV/r) was added to the acute care formulary for treating elderly patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19.
