Indications: Reduction of fever or relief of pain in common upper respiratory infection; runny nose, nasal congestion, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity. Patient who has high BP or severe heart disease; anemia, kidney or liver disease. Pregnancy or lactation.
Special Precautions: Withdraw medication if drowsiness, restlessness or nervousness occurs. Patients with diabetes, heart and blood pressure conditions, glaucoma, thyroid problems, enlarged prostate, bladder problems or difficulty urinating. Do not drive or operate machinery. Patients with liver or kidney disease.
Adverse Reactions: Paracetamol: Changes in number of WBC and platelets such as agranulocytosis, leukopenia, neutropenia, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia; allergic reactions; minor stomach and intestinal disturbances; rare cases of serious skin reactions (ie, SJS, TEN and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis). Phenylephrine HCl: Anxiety; dizziness, restlessness; arrhythmia, palpitation; pallor; respiratory distress; weakness. Chlorphenamine maleate: Sleepiness and drowsiness; headache; blurred vision, visual disturbance; tinnitus; chest tightness; decreased BP; constipation, diarrhea, GI discomfort, nausea, vomiting; muscle weakness; difficulty urinating; dryness of mouth, nose and throat; irritability. Phenylephrine HCl and chlorphenamine maleate: Insomnia/sleeplessness, nervousness; tremor; increased BP.
