Laboratory Tests and Ancillaries
Laboratory tests are not indicated, unless the woman has a family history of diabetes mellitus (DM) or vascular disease or a history of an STI. One may test for hemoglobin when considering the use of intrauterine devices (IUDs). One may also consider doing a lipid profile, but this is more important for preventive medicine.
