As seasonal influenza returns amid ongoing SARS-CoV-2 circulation, rapid differentiation between these infections has become crucial for enabling early and effective patient care. Researchers conducted the largest prospective, multicentre evaluation to date of the Panbio COVID-19/Flu A&B Panel (Abbott)—a single-strip antigen test designed to detect SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, and influenza B from mid-turbinate nasal swabs (NMT) in symptomatic individuals.
