At the recent Gut Health Summit 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur, a panel of six experts discussed diverse aspects of paediatric gut health, ranging from management of disorders of the gut-brain interaction (DGBI) to communication-based interventions and hypnotherapy. This article features Dr Arine Vlieger and Professor Marc Benninga, whose talks collectively addressed the spectrum of DGBI from infancy through to adolescence, and explored the evidence base for both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
